TLS signed 'Thos. A. Edison,' one page, 8.5 x 11, Thomas A. Edison Laboratory letterhead, October 17, 1924. Letter to the secretary of the National Museum of Engineering and Industry H. F. J. Porter, accepting an appointment. In full, 'Your letter of August 15th was received during my absence on a vacation trip, and by mischance was mislaid until now.
