Haiti's revolutionary leader approves payment for a shipment of naval supplies

Leader (1743–1803) of the Haitian Revolution who was born in Saint-Domingue, the French colony that would become Haiti. Partly-printed DS, in French, signed with a large and curvaceous "L," one page both sides, 7.5 x 12.25, February 26, 1800. Statement about supplies furnished to the Navy and ordering payment in the amount of 49 francs 50 centimes. French Republic stamp at the left side. In very good condition, with moderate soiling along the right side, toning, a rough left edge, tiny tears along some folds, and a trimmed right side with minor loss of text. A seldom seen piece of Caribbean history. RRAuction COA.
