George Arliss (1868–1946) was an English actor, author, playwright and filmmaker who became the first British actor to win an Academy Award; Daryl F. Zanuck (1902–1979) was a producer who played a major part in the Hollywood studio system. DS, signed 'George Arliss' and 'Daryl F. Zanuck' on the final page, 13 pages, 8.5 x 13, April 27, 1933. Agreement between Arliss and Zanuck regarding two films. In part: 'The producer shall pay to the artist as compensation for his services the net sum of One Hundred Sixty Thousand Dollars…in the following sums and at the various times and in the following manner and without any deduction…It is understood and agreed that the two pictures are to be made in the city of Los Angeles or its environs.'
