Description

Early Patsy Cline glamour portrait

Popular and distinctive country-and-western 'crossover' star (1932–1963) who achieved iconic status upon her death in a plane crash at the age of 30. Stunning vintage glossy 8 x 10 photo of Cline in a dark dress made by Patsy’s mother, signed in red ballpoint, 'Sincere Thanks, Patsy Cline.' Double matted and framed to an overall size of 13.75 x 16.5. In very good condition, with a noticeable vertical crease to background, and other scattered creases, most only visible at an angle, with one crease lightly affecting a couple letters of sentiment. Photo originates from the collection of Eda Berg, co-founder of the Mississippi Valley Country Music Association. An attractive and boldly signed portrait. Pre-certified PSA/DNA and RRAuction COA.
