Short-lived but highly influential English/American rock band best known for the uniquely virtuosic guitar work of frontman Jimi Hendrix (1942–1970). Though initially conceived in 1966 as Hendrix’s backing band, The Experience soon became one of the first groups to popularize the ‘power trio.’ Vintage poster of the Jimi Hendrix Experience, 18.5 x 14.5, signed in ballpoint by all three: 'Jimi Hendrix,' 'Noel Redding,' and 'Mitch.' Poster is affixed to two identical size scrapbook pages, with 11 unsigned clipped photos affixed to reverse, then covered with a sheet of transparent contact paper. In good to very good condition, central horizontal and vertical fold, intersecting over Hendrix’s face, moderate contrast to Hendrix’s signature, scattered rippling and staining from adhesive on reverse, scattered air bubbles under applied contact paper, a few small tears, and mild overall toning, otherwise very good condition. Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from Roger Epperson/REAL. Despite the well-intended attempt to preserve the piece via contact paper, this oversized image, signed by all three members of the legendary trio, is unique and incredibly rare!
