In part: “I’ve never been confronted by adverse questions, even from individuals I sensed might be antagonistic…Eight of us were requisitioned by Los Alamos…to work with the 509th. On Tinian, a coin toss selected me to do Hiroshima…Hiroshima was similar to several test missions flown with dummy bombs to test radar-fuzing-targets on Salton Sea, Calif., in early 1945. No second wishes about Hiroshima mission–either about selection or results.” In fine condition.
