Two items: TLS, signed “Franklin D. Roosevelt,” one page, 8.5 x 11, dated December 30, 1931, State of New York letterhead. Brief letter to Charles McDermott reads, in part: “My wife joins me in wishes for a very Happy New Year ….” Letter is matted and framed to an overall size of 12.5 x 15.; and an ink signature “Eleanor Roosevelt,” on an off-white 5 x 3 card. In very good condition, with toning and damp staining to right edge of letter, as well as a small pencil notation, and light toning and foxing to card.
