Hall of Fame football executive (1912–1971) who owned the Cleveland/Los Angeles Rams from 1941 until his death. Among his notable accomplishments was signing the first African-American NFL player after World War II, Kenny Washington, in 1946. DS, signed “Daniel F. Reeves,” one page, 8.5 x 11, no date. Standard National Football League Uniform Player’s Contract for the 1942 Cleveland Rams endorsed by Reeves before moving his club to the West Coast. The document is comprised of standard printed legal details, including the name of player “G. P. Harrison” (who didn’t make the team’s roster that year and his $150 per game stipend). In fine condition, with creasing to the upper left corner and two horizontal folds. An attractive document from one of the gridiron’s most innovative leaders.
