Inventor (1791–1872) best known for his creation of Morse code. ALS signed “Saml. F. B. Morse,” one page, 5 x 8, March 29, 1869. Responding from New York to a request for his signature, Morse writes in full ”I cheerfully comply with your request.” Tear along one horizontal fold interrupting “your” and the center panel affixed to a slightly larger card (perimeter mounting residue showing through, passing through the last letter of the signature and several words of text), otherwise fine condition.
