Signed book: Jubilee of the Constitution; Removal of the Public Deposites and its Reasons; An Argument Before the Supreme Court; and several reports. Privately printed. NY: Samuel Colman, 1839. Rebound hardcover with leather spine, 5.5 x 9. Signed on the half-title page, “Recd. Peter Whitney from John Quincy Adams.” Scattered toning and foxing to signed page and some of the inside pages, scattered toning and soiling to pastedowns, spine a bit weak, and light chipping and wear to covers, otherwise very good condition. Adams’ signature is bold and crisp. Pre-certified John Reznikoff/PSA/DNA and RRAuction COA.
