Baseball player and manager who played for the Baltimore Orioles and served as Detroit’s colorful manager from 1907–1920. He suffered a nervous breakdown in 1925 that forced him to leave baseball. He was posthumously inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1945. Rare vintage ink signature, “Hugh Jennings,” on an off-white 4.5 x .75 clipped slip. Irregular edges, and small area of paper loss between first and last name, otherwise fine condition. Accompanied by a letter of authenticity from James Spence.
