Distinguished British composer (1902–1983) best known for such works as Facade, a theatrical collaboration with Edith Sitwell, and the oratorio Belshazzar’s Feast. Vintage matte-finish 6 x 8 photo, signed in fountain pen, “William Walton,” with Walton adding a two-measure musical quotation. In very good condition, with scattered creasing touching portions of his face, a small stain along the bottom edge, poor contrast to his first name and second measure, and silvering to the darker areas. A desirable image of the famed musician. RRAuction COA.
