Flight-flown printed Space Treaty, 5.5 x 3.5, entitled “Agreement on the Rescue of Astronauts, the Return of Astronauts and the Return of Objects Launched into Outer Space,” carried aboard Apollo 15. Accompanied by a letter of authenticity from crew member Al Worden, stating “This is to certify that the following Space Rescue Agreement was carried aboard Apollo 15 during its lunar flight July 26-August 7, 1971.” Also referred to as the ‘Rescue Agreement,’ it is an international agreement setting forth rights and obligations of states concerning the rescue of persons in space.
