Rare and early Alan Shepard check to the Midshipman’s Store

First National Bank of Derry bank check, 6.25 x 2.75, filled out and signed by Shepard, “Alan B. Shepard, Jr.,” payable to Midshipmen’s Store for $50.00, May 24, 1944. In fine condition, with cancellation holes trivially affecting first name of signature, small pencil notation to right of signature, and mild show-through from stamps on reverse. One of just a scant handful of Shepard checks we have seen. Pre-certified Scott Cornish and RRAuction COA.
