ALS signed “Audrey,” four onionskin pages, 5.75 x 8, September 7, 1954. Letter to her good friend Anita Loos, referencing Fred Astaire and the filming of Gigi. In part: “It is horribly important to me, for me to know whether you have to and really are leaving on schedule…as there is something rather important I would have loved to talk to you about, can you let me know whether you might still be here around the 20th…I adored your letters. I know we don’t have to write which is the very reason I love doing it it…Am now doing something about Gigi as a musical…am all beat up over it, will Fred Astaire. Next time I write, hope to know more.” (The structure of the sentences referencing Gigi and Astaire hint at a possibly missing page.) In fine condition, with some corner creasing and light wrinkling.
