In part: “I was glad to hear from you, and only wish I could concentrate on your musicals…However, having just a few days ago, returned from the hospital where I underwent an operation, I am still not well enough to do any work…Hence to my regret, I will not be able to take part in this work-but I do appreciate your thinking of me…and hope you will meet with nothing but success in all your work.” In fine condition, with a horizontal fold through top of first letter of signature, and some light creasing and wrinkling.
