Beautiful pearl-finish 10.75 x 13.5 photo of Monroe taken at Tobey Beach, Long Island, New York, 1949, by Andre de Dienes, signed in black ink. A few scattered edge creases, and some light surface impressions, otherwise fine condition. De Dienes was the first photographer to photograph the young Norma Jeane in 1945 as a professional model. They were engaged in 1946 and he photographed her off and on through 1953. His photos of Marilyn appeared on over 23 magazine covers from 1945 to 1949 worldwide.
