Description

Howard Koch

Blacklisted screenwriter (1901–1995) who wrote the radio drama ‘The War of the Worlds’ for Orson Welles, and contributed to script for ‘Casablanca.’ DS, six pages, 8.5 x 13, October 2, 1946. Agreement between Samuel Goldwyn Productions and Koch for a writing project “to be granted by the writer to the producer at the rate of two thousand, five hundred dollars ($2,500.00) per week, to be due and payable on Thursday of each week for services rendered up to and including the Saturday preceding.” Signed in fountain pen by Koch on page six. In fine condition with a single horizontal filing fold and a two-page addendum stapled at the top of the page. Pre-certified PSA/DNA and RRAuction COA.
