In part: “As for the best way to break into the world of journalism, well, my suggestion would be for you to start out getting a job as a reporter on a small town paper—even if at first you have to work for nothing.”; and a glossy 8 x 10 photo of Thomas, signed and inscribed in black felt tip, “Here’s to you Jim!
