Jacqueline Cochran

Female pilot (1906-1980) who was the first of her gender to break the sound barrier and is said to have more aviation records and awards than any pilot in the United States. Also a close friend of Chuck Yeager and Dwight D. Eisenhower. Glossy 8 x 10 photo of Cochran in the cockpit of a plane, signed in blue ballpoint. In very good condition, with areas of toning to borders, light surface impressions from a paperclip and another item signed on top of this one, and the signature a shade light.
