Vintage sepia glossy 8 x 10 photo of Hawks inspecting a Wright Whirlwind engine of the Texaco Sky Chief, signed and inscribed in fountain pen “To Mr. and Mrs. N. B. Ellis, a big ‘73,’ Sincerely, Frank Hawks.” In very good condition, with scattered creasing, edge toning, a couple of border chips, mounting remnants on reverse, and Hawks’s signature a shade or two light, but completely legible.
