Unusual free-franked House of Representatives mailing envelope, 5.75 x 3.5, addressed in another hand to “Miss Mary E. Stuples, Lubec Maine,” and franked along the top, “J. A. Garfield, MC,” with “Free” written in another hand at left edge. In very good condition, with soiling and damp staining along three edges (not affecting signature), and some scattered light creasing.
