Description

Writing in the year of Little Dorrit

ALS, one page, 5 x 7.75, Office of Household Words letterhead, June 19, 1857. Dickens writes to W. Hepworth Dixon. In full: “I have adopted your suggestion in reference to Mr. Lloyd—and wanting our good name for a counterweight, have taken the liberty of adding yours too.” In very good condition, with mild soiling, intersecting mailing folds (vertical fold to first name) and scattered light offsetting of ink from premature folding (lightly touching signature). Dicken’s writing and signature remains crisp and bold. Pre-certified John Reznikoff/PSA/DNA and RRAuction COA.
