Otto Hahn

German chemist (1879–1968) who won the 1944 Nobel Prize for the discovery of nuclear fission. ALS in German, signed “Otto,” on both sides of a 4 x 5.75 postcard, July 29, 1936. Letter to his wife Edith mentioning his laboratory in Berlin: “Let me search in the laboratory if there are letters.” In fine condition, with uniform light toning, and signature a bit cramped.
