Eiffel sends regrets for being unable to attend a meeting

French engineer best remembered for designing the tower that bears his name. LS in French, signed “G. Eiffel,” one page, lightly-lined graph-like paper, 5.25 x 8.25, January 16, 1906. In full, “Mister President, have the honor to inform you that leaving at the moment for Beaulieu where I shall stay until May, I cannot attend the sessions of the aéro club for which I ask you to excuse my absence. Sincerely Yours.” In fine condition, with light toning, two punch holes along the left edge, and an irregularly cut right edge. Pre-certified PSA/DNA and RRAuction COA.
