Vintage glossy 8 x 10 photo, signed and inscribed in blue ink “To Ted—The man who has the first chance to make me a star—Troy Donahue.” Some scattered light surface marks and creases, and some light rippling from adhesive on reverse, otherwise fine condition. Ted Ashton, a Princeton graduate, began his motion picture career in 1947 in the publicity department at Warner Brothers. He soon became a unit publicist on many of the studios most successful films for the next 18 years.
