Moss picks his scariest moment: “I was driving the Eldorado Special and my steering broke at 160 m.p.h.”

British racing great, known by many as the first professional driver to race for the love of the sport and for financial gain. TLS, one page, 8 x 10, Stirling Moss Ltd. letterhead, July 25, 1961. Short letter to a collector. In part: “My most exciting moment was, most likely, my most frightening, which was at Monza when I was driving the Eldorado Special and my steering broke at 160 m.p.h.” In fine condition, with two punch holes to left edge, and typed collector’s notation to top. Pre-certified Steve Grad/PSA/DNA and RRAuction COA.
