Unsigned cover art mock-up for the single “Bittersweet Symphony,” all written in the hand of Richard Ashcroft on an off-white 8.5 x 11 sheet. Ashcroft writes out: “The Verve Bitter Sweet Sy[m]phony.” This was one of a series of attempts at lettering applied to a mock-up visual for the single originally obtained by The Verve’s album designer Brian Cannon. Accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity from Cannon attesting to this. In fine condition. Interesting to note that Ashcroft actually misspelled the song’s name in this mock-up, unintentionally leaving out the “m” in “Symphony.” RRAuction COA.
