Military telegraph to Brigadier General Webster from Brigadier General Thomas William Sweeny, 5.25 x 8.5, written in a clerical hand, dated October 29, 1863, from LaGrange reads, "When will trains be sent to move the troops & government property at this place which are as follows 2 Regts Infy eight hundred (800) pioneer corps one hundred fifty (150) division & Brigade Head Quarters eighteen (18)…camp & garrison equipage & Hospital stores. Resy, F W Sweeny, Brig Gen.” Endorsed on the reverse, “Maj. Gen. Hurlbut / I have had no instructions about this - Resp J. D.
