Pioneering filmmaker (1880–1960) who founded Keystone Studios and introduced to the public such screen legends as Fatty Arbuckle, Mack Swain, The Keystone Kops, and Charlie Chaplin. Signed book: Father Goose. First edition, first printing. NY: Covivi Friede, 1934. Hardcover, 6 x 8.5, 407 pages. Signed and inscribed on the reverse of his full-page photo before the title page, “For Ric Carpenter, Best wishes, Mack Sennett (Keep laughing).” Loose back hinge, moderately heavy sunning to spine, a bit of mild cover wear, and a few pencil notations to opening pages, otherwise fine condition.
