In part: “I write you on behalf of the our Historical Society, to request that you will secure for us the right to have office room for our archives…in the new fire proof building which has been ordered to be erected in this city…Knowing the deep unselfish interest you take in the Historical Society of Virginia, which is a fundamental part of the History of the Southern Confederacy, I have been advised to address you.” In fine condition.
