Two items: Taiwanese Christmas card from 1970 sent to Army Archerd, measuring 8.5 x 4 closed. Inside bears a preprinted Taiwanese sentiment, with Hope writing: “18 girls—What a war—Inside the plane—Great gang & great show. Merry Xmas ‘70 Bob Hope.” Front of the card bears a large rowboat with many hands paddling, with Hope writing above and below the image, “Kirk Douglas is third from the left—Bangkok University Crew Team.” Accompanied by the original mailing envelope, addressed in Hope’s hand, and signed on the reverse in the return address area. Also, a brief ALS signed “Bob H.” on the correspondence side of a 6 x 4 postcard sent to Army Archerd from Italy, no date. Hope writes: “Lucky says hello—Came here for the water—This is a Pizza with a mayor.” Hope also hand-addresses the postcard. In overall fine condition, with surface impressions to image side of the postcard. Pre-certified PSA/DNA and RRAuction COA.
