Description

Charles II

British monarch who ushered in the Restoration in 1660 and ruled until his death in 1685. King Charles orders Lord Finch to “affix our Great Seal of England…to a certain instrument & bearing date with these presents, containing our powers to yorselfe and to our Right Trusty & Wellbound Cousins…to treate of and conclude with Yr. Ambassador Secretary…now here a treaty of Com[m]erce 7 Navigation to be observed within the limits of the Royal African English & Dutch West India Companied respectively.” In fine condition, with a touch of scattered light toning, intact seal and some light wrinkling. Pre-certified PSA/DNA and RRAuction COA.
