Aaron Burr

Revolutionary War soldier, lawyer, senator, and vice president under Jefferson (1756–1836), probably best known for mortally wounding Alexander Hamilton in a duel on July 11, 1804. Bank check, 6.25 x 2.5, filled out and signed by Burr, payable to Self for $75.00, March 12, 1800. Nicely double cloth matted and framed with a portrait of Burr and a biographical plaque, to an overall size of 20.5 x 30.5. In very good condition, with a few creases, ink cancellation and cut cancellations with a few chips and tears (away from signature), and light wrinkling and toning. The signature is dark and clear. Oversized. Pre-certified PSA/DNA and RRAuction COA.
