Two items: an original ink portrait of Mack by artist Clement E. Campbell on an off-white 6 x 8 sheet, signed in black ink, “Connie Mack”; and an ALS on a n 8.5 x 7 sheet of off-white paper, American Baseball Club of America letterhead, November, 23, 1949. Replying to the artist’s request, in full: “[I] think your sketch of me is a very good one and feel very proud of the sketch you have done a good job and sincerely hope that your success is assured in the construction field. With all good wishes.” Accompanied by a typed copy of the collector’s original TLS requesting that Mack autograph his sketch. In fine condition, with scattered light creasing to the sketch and scattered light creasing, light creasing to the right corners, and a small tear to the right edge of Mack’s letter.
