Original ink portrait of Einstein by artist Clement E. Campbell on an off-white 6 x 8 sheet, signed in black ink, “A. Einstein, 49.” Accompanied by the collector’s original typed copy of the TLS requesting that Einstein autograph his sketch so that he may add it to his collection to “provide something of a treasure to my three sons as they travel through their school years.” In fine condition, with a faint shade of overall toning and scattered light bends and creasing, one lightly affecting the ‘E’ of the signature.
