Interesting archive consisting of three signed items and several accompaniments: a vintage 8.5 x 11.25 book photo of Steinmetz pouring over a book, signed in the lower border, “Charles P. Steinmetz”; two bank checks from 1898 and 1899, both filled out and signed by Steinmetz, “Charles P. Steinmetz.” Accompaniments include a fascinating photo of Steinmetz and Thomas Edison working on some machine parts, a photo of Steinmetz and other dignitaries including Lord and Lady Kelvin and Elihu Thomson; a composite photo of Steinmetz and a design sheet; and a clipped newspaper article recalling how Steinmetz once helped Edison with a problem generator and sending him a bill for $10,000.
