Alvarez,” 8 x 10.5, dated April 23, 1849, regarding the establishment of the new state of Guerrero, stating he is overjoyed with the project. Alvarez would become Guerrero’s first governor when it was officially founded in October; partly-printed DS, signed as president, “Manuel Gonzalez,” dated February 26, 1884, appointing Manuel Garcia to the rank of Brigadier General; a four page LS, signed “Pena y Pena,” dated May 11, 1837, to the Minister of the Treasury regarding distribution of funds raised through the lottery; and an LS, signed “Mariano Arista,” as General in Chief, dated July 22, 1841, regarding a dress made in Indian or Comanche style.
