Description

“I can’t recall whether I told you of the Texas lady who believes in a possible relationship (Reagan side) or not”

ALS signed “R. R.,” one page both sides, 4.75 x 8.5, dated in another hand April 19, 1967. Letter to a gentleman in Texas, possibly a relation to Reagan. In part: “I can’t recall whether I told you of the Texas lady who believes in a possible relationship (Reagan side) or not. She seems to have some contacts among ‘Reagans’ in this country and might be helpful…If there is a relationship her grandfather was Francis Marion Reagan born 1837. He was a school teacher…This family is related to the former Texas Sen. John H. Reagan…He was a state representative in Texas…a judge, framer of the Const., Congressman & U. S. Senator. I thought perhaps the new locale in Ill. (Macoupin Co.) might be of help also the fact that my father might have been born there or Bennet, Iowa.” In fine condition. RRAuction COA.
