Description

Warren G. Harding

TLS signed “W. G. Harding,” one page, 8.5 x 11, Marion Star letterhead, November 20, 1899. Harding writes to George K. Nash on behalf of a friend seeking a staff appointment. In full: “My personal friend Mr. Capt. George B. Donivan is desireous [sic] of an appointment to a place on your personal staff. I understand that all aids de camp must be chosen from the National Guard, and I am sure that Captain Donivan has a creditable record in the service of the Guard. I shall consider it a great favor if you will give Captain Donivan’s application favorable consideration.” In very good condition, with a mild overall shade of toning, intersecting folds, one through single initial of signature, staple hole to bottom, and some scattered light creases. Pre-certified John Reznikoff/PSA/DNA and RRAuction COA.
