Second President of Egypt from 1956 until his death in 1970. Along with Muhammad Naguib, he led the Egyptian Revolution of 1952, which removed King Farouk I and heralded a new period of industrialization in Egypt. Vintage satin-finish 3.5 x 5.5 photo, signed and inscribed in blue ink “To Karl Gayer, with my best wishes, Gamal Abdel Nasser, Cairo 10.7.1958.” In fine condition, with some slight irregular adhesion to inscription, and mounting remnants to reverse.
