Description

New Hall of Famer Dylan sells his hometown theatre and starts the Never Ending Tour

DS, twelve pages, 8.5 x 11, June 1988. Purchase agreement between Dylan (as seller) and the Minneapolis Community Development Agency (as buyer) arranging for the latter to purchase the Orpheum Theatre in Minneapolis, for a total price of $1.4 million in cash. The Agency purchased the theater from Dylan and his brother and restored and reopened it in 1993. 1988 would prove to be a very busy and successful year for Dylan musically as well, with his induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, the start of his Never Ending Tour, and the formation of the Travelling Wilburys as well. Signed on the last page in black felt tip by Dylan. In fine condition. Pre-certified Roger Epperson/REAL and RRAuction COA.
