In full: “In compliance with the request with which it closes, I lose no time in acknowledging the receipt of your letter of the 22d inst., enclosing a letter addressed to the President, to whom it will be submitted without delay….” In fine condition overall, with letter affixed to protective backing sheet, faint intersecting folds (vertical fold to last name), a few small repaired tears, and light scattered soiling.
