Recalling the days of Camelot is this alluring image picturing President and Mrs. Kennedy. The couple poses on a balcony facing the South Lawn of the White House, and the photo’s wonderfully resolved image area lends clarity to its featured subjects. Intended as a gift for longtime White House telephone operator Ruby Youngs, the photo is boldly signed by JFK as “John F. Kennedy” (modest ink migration affects the President’s name), and also bears a secretarial signature and inscription, “To Ruby Youngs, With best wishes, Jacqueline Kennedy.” Minor surface faults are present in the form of creasing, yet this black-and-white memento admits of very good condition. The 9.5 x 6.5 photograph is affixed to durable cardstock of the same size. JSA/John Reznikoff Auction LOA and RRAuction COA.
