Revered Greek opera singer (1923–1977) widely regarded as the greatest soprano of all time. Early and unusual matte-finish 3.5 x 5.5 photo of the young diva, dressed in pearls, her dark hair cascading around her shoulders, inscribed in Italian to Domenic P— and signed “Maria Callas.” Matted and framed to an overall size of 8.5 x 10.5. Slightly indistinct contrast to a few letters against dark background, otherwise fine condition. Signed Callas images of this early date are quite uncommon. Pre-certified PSA/DNA and RRAuction COA.
