American cartoonist (1912–1988) best known for his clever, macabre sense of humor. His most famous creation was the Addams Family, which spawned a classic television show and a series of successful films. Two items: original ink sketch of Wednesday Addams with a bizarre pet on a leash, on an off-white 3 x 5 card, signed “Chas. Addams, 1983”; and an original ink sketch of Wednesday on a white 5.5 x 3.5 card, signed and inscribed “to Lionel Aucoin with all best, Chas.
