Official Spalding National League (Heydler) baseball, signed in fountain pen on the sweet spot “Babe Ruth” and on the adjoining side panel “Lou Gehrig,” the signatures dating to circa 1932. The use of a National League ball could very well indicate that the signatures were obtained during a World Series. In very good condition, with light skipping to several strokes of Ruth’s light, but completely legible signature, portions of Gehrig’s signature difficult to see (but not making the signature any less recognizable), and expected aging to ball. Undoubtedly the most sought-after double-signed combination in baseball! JSA/Mike Gutierrez Auction LOA and RRAuction COA.
