Description

E. E. Cummings

American writer and artist (1894–1962) known for his distinctively avant-garde poetry, which often employed unconventional punctuation and capitalization. TLS, signed in red crayon, one page, 8.5 x 11, October 31, 1961. Cummings writes to Mr. Thompson. In part: “NYCity’s ‘Save the Village’ group is generously lending us its lawyer, & the second hearing will take place November 9th…. Donde una puerta se cierra, otra se abre [where one door closes, another opens]….” Intersecting mailing folds and a hint of subtle toning, otherwise fine condition. RRAuction COA.
