Collins heads to Houston after the Gemini 7 launch

ALS signed “Mike Collins,” one page, 8 x 10.5, December 9, 1965. Letter to Carol Quinn at the Kennedy Space Center. In part: “Your letter of 6 December just caught up with me here in Houston. (I left the Cape on GT-7 launch day). I’m sorry to have missed you and Tom…I hope to get back to the Cape sometime in ’66—the earlier the better.” Collins makes reference to the Gemini 7 mission, on which he was a member of the back-up crew to Jim Lovell and Frank Borman. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope, addressed in Collins’s hand, with a partial name “Collins,” in the return address area in top left In fine condition.
