Though his body of work is now widely derided for its politically incorrect content, Fetchit was enormously popular in the 1930s and ’40s and was the first African-American actor to become a millionaire. Vintage glossy 8 x 10 photo, signed and inscribed in ink “To Paul from Stepin Fetchit.” In very good condition, with scattered dings, surface marks, and small creases, small spot of residue to top edge, small edge tear near but not touching signature, and mounting remnant to top edge of reverse.
